Round 1 Picks
The first round of the 2023 NFL Draft saw some interesting picks from the teams. The Carolina Panthers took QB Bryce Young from Alabama, followed by the Houston Texans who selected QB C.J. Stroud from Ohio State. The biggest surprise in the first round was the New England Patriots’ selection of DE Zachary Levesque from a small college, rather than choosing one of the bigger names in the top 10 picks. Experts were divided in their opinions of this pick, with some saying it was a gutsy move that could pay off, while others saw it as a risky decision that might not pan out.
Round 4 Picks
In round 4, the Patriots’ selection of C Jake Andrews from Troy was met with approval from experts, who praised his potential to be a solid starter in the league. The Cleveland Browns also made a good choice with their pick of LB Joshua Harris from Western Michigan, who is expected to bring some much-needed depth to the Browns’ defense. One of the biggest head-scratchers of the round was the Seattle Seahawks’ selection of QB Tanner Mordecai from SMU, as experts had predicted that the team would look for a defensive player in this round.
