Elizabeth Olsen on ‘Love & Death’ Sex Scenes and Taking a Marvel Break: ‘I Don’t Miss It’ – Variety

Elizabeth Olsen has been making headlines recently for her role in the new true crime miniseries “Love & Death” on HBO Max. In a recent interview with Variety, the actress opened up about her experience filming sex scenes for the show as well as taking a break from her Marvel role as Wanda Maximoff.

Olsen plays Candy Montgomery in “Love & Death,” a woman who is accused of murdering her friend’s husband in a scandalous true crime story from the 1980s. As with any crime drama, the show includes some intimate scenes between the characters, and Olsen revealed that those scenes can be difficult to film.

“It’s not the most comfortable thing to do, but you just have to make sure that you’re in a comfortable environment and trust your directors,” she said. “It’s about feeling your way through it and not thinking too much about it.”

Aside from her new role on “Love & Death,” Olsen is known for her role as Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She recently wrapped up the Disney+ series “WandaVision,” which was a huge success, but Olsen says she’s relieved to take a break from the character.

“I don’t miss it yet,” she said. “It’s been such a nice change of pace to do this [show], and I feel very grateful that I got that break.”

Olsen has been busy promoting “Love & Death” and receiving critical acclaim for her performance. It was recently announced that both Olsen and co-star Jesse Plemons submitted their performances for Emmy consideration, with Olsen as the lead and Plemons in the supporting category.

Overall, Elizabeth Olsen is proving to be a versatile and talented actress, able to move seamlessly between genres and roles. Her work in “Love & Death” showcases her abilities as a dramatic actor, and fans are excited to see where she goes next.
